Residential Reverse Osmosis System
Clean, safe and fresh water
The most effective and cost efficient water treatment systems available today uses a process called reverse osmosis (RO).
Reverse Osmosis Systems are the best solution to treat contaminants and to eliminate chlorine taste. We use an under sink reverse osmosis system to filter the water coming through the local potable water plant. The RO filter is installed under the sink.
RO is very effective in reducing a range of water contaminants. This is possible because the reverse osmosis membrane is comprised of microscopic pores which allow the pressurized water molecules, among the smallest molecules known to man, to pass through the membranes. Large molecules, compounds containing contaminants, and even dissolved ions are left behind.
How Reverse Osmosis filters work
Clearsource RO systems are made of 3 filters: a prefilter which collects solid impurities, a carbon filter which eliminates chlorine and the postfilter (the osmosis membrane). It also comes with a small tank in which the purified water is stored. Clearsource 5 stages Reverse Osmosis Systems work by pressuring water against a semi-permeable membrane that stop contaminants from passing but allows clean clear water to pass.
The prefiltration and carbon cartridges must be replaced regularly in order to maintain a good drinking water quality.
A reverse osmosis system can treat for variety of contaminants including:
Health contaminant:
Arsenic, lead, cyanide, fluoride, mercury, radium
Aesthetic contaminants:
Taste, Odor, color organic molecules
Aluminum chlorides, copper silver sodium, sufite
Maintenance Program
We also offer a maintenance contract for your reverse osmosis system:
Test feed water (TDS, Hardness, Replacement cartridge…)
Test product water (TDS, Hardness, Repair leaks…)
Change filters on schedule or as needed
